  1. Be responsible towards others says:

What do you think about the following quotes relating to acts and thoughts?
    SELF DESTRUCTION…..as a nation ??

Two politicians from Illinois: one with an Ivy League education and the other mostly self-educated. The words of one could have been uttered by Karl Marx, while the sayings of the other are simple, direct and show profound wisdom.

"It’s not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they’ve got a chance for success too. I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.." Barack Obama

" You cannot help the poor, by destroying the rich.

You cannot strengthen the weak, by weakening the strong.

You cannot bring about prosperity, by discouraging thrift.

You cannot lift the wage earner up, by pulling the wage payer down.

You cannot further the brotherhood of man, by inciting class hatred.

You cannot build character and courage, by taking away men’s initiative and independence.

You cannot help 20 men permanently, by doing for them what they could and should, do for themselves."

    Abraham Lincoln
I also feel that some people make exhorbitant amounts of money and there needs to be better ethics in business.

  2. R. T. says:

There is certainly no reason that CEOs and other upper executives should be getting paid millions of dollars a year in salary when you have other employees earning barely the minimum wage. In circumstances like that, there should be better distribution of the wealth. Even people earning 10 dollars an hour with no benefits think that they are doing pretty good, but they aren’t really. Full time that is 400 dollars a week. Over a year that’s barely more 20,000 dollars before taxes.

Take the CEO salaries of 10s of millions and reduce them and spread that out to the workers. That could be a substantial amount of money that would make life better for a lot of people. Do that at a lot of other companies and all of a sudden people could be earning a decent wage again. And then the economy would be really robust.

And no, that is not Socialism. That’s where people get an equal share for doing nothing at all. This is profit sharing. The company has the money to distribute and all involved employees should be able to benefit, not just certain people.
